NILL AYITTEY “ATAA AYI” TO BE RECOMMENDED FOR PRESIDENTIAL PARDON

The Minister of Interior, Mark Woyongo made this known when he interacted with Nill Ayittey during a working visit to the Maximum Security Prison at Ankaful in the Central Region.
Nill Ayittey is now a preacher at the Ankaful prison and advised all to be law abiding so as to prevent themselves from being jailed.
The Minister also interacted with the jailed Chief Executive for Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Assembly, Bossman Osei – Hyiamang Jnr. The DCE was last week jailed 14 days by a Cape Coast High Court for contempt of court. In an interaction with the DCE he is expected to be out of prison tomorrow.
Mr. Woyongo revealed that the UK government has given Ghana government 500 thousand pounds to construct separate building to accommodate those on remand from the convicts. He appealed to the convict to continue to put up with good behavior.
Mr. Woyongo noted that the government will not neglect the welfare of prisoners despite the offences they committed against the state. He said government will make life better for them even in prison.
The convicted armed robber, Nill Ayittey, popularly known as Ataa Ayi will likely be recommended to the President for Presidential pardon due to his good conduct from prison. due to his good conduct at the Maximum Security Prison at Ankaful in the Central Region.
