The construction of Elmina Fishing
plant has reached 70% according to the clerk of works Fosu Gyan noted that the
cold store rooms are now being constructed at the moment. He said the fish
waste department is undergoing construction and was optimistic that by December
the project will be completed.
He said the project will accommodate
a nursery school for the women selling fish and maintenance office to maintain
the equipment. The cold store warehouse has been roofed.
The project is a loan from EXIM India Bank.
