CONSTRUCTION OF KOTOKURABA MARKET IS 5KM PER HOUR- EXPEDITE ACTION

Construction of Kotokuraba Market
The Paramount Chief of Cape Coast Osabarima  Kwesi  Ataa II has appealed to the government to expedite action on the construction of the Kotokuraba market and the Cape Coast Stadium.
Osabarima Kwesi Atta II was speaking at the just ended Oguaa  Fetu  Afahye in Cape Coast. He noted that the project is being constructed on a 5km/hour base which is not the best for the traders who had to sell their goods in the atmosphere during the raining season and the hot weather. He appealed to all citizens of Cape Coast to support the development of the ancient town.
This year’s theme was: “Harnessing the Human Resource Potential of Youth in Oguaaman for Effective Local Development”.

Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, commended Nana Akufo-Addo for accepting the Supreme Court verdict and asking his supporters to ensure that peace prevailed. He also commended the general public, particularly the youth, for not resorting to violence acts after the Supreme Court ruling.
The Vice President of Ghana, H.E.  Kwesi Amissah-Arthur assured the chiefs and people of Cape Coast that both the construction of the kotokuraba market and the stadium will be completed by the end of the first term of Mahama’s regime. He said  the Government has fulfilled all the financial commitments for work to begin on the construction of the Kotokuraba Market Complex in Cape Coast.
On his part the Central Regional Minister, Samuel Sarpong,was not happy that despite the potentials of the region in terms of education and tourism activities the region is said to be poor , he appealed to all to find a lasting solution to the challenges facing the region.
He commended the planning committee of this year’s festival for dedicating the festival to the youth of Cape Coast , since it will assist in  accelerating development.
